Actalent in Lincoln, AL is seeking an Inventory Specialist to standardize material handling across North American sites and provide technical leadership for inventory processes. You will conduct inventory analysis, support data-driven decisions with logistics partners, perform cycle counts, and drive continuous improvements across production and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Business-related degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of experience in inventory management or manufacturing.
• Hands-on inventory analysis and cycle counts.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient verbal and written communication.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on production impact.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to collaborate across departments and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and standardize internal material handling across North America sites, providing technical leadership for inventory processes.
• Support inventory analysis and data-driven decisions with contracted logistics partners and plant departments.
• Maintain accuracy of systems that support production standards and parts availability through discrepancy analysis.
• Validate department readiness to ensure manufacturing goals are achieved.
• Review daily inventory and production reports and resolve on-site issues.
• Perform physical inventory activities including cycle counts.
• Apply root cause analysis to inventory and supply chain issues.
• Develop professional networks to share best practices and promote collaboration.
• Lead and execute project-related activities and capture lessons learned for future models.
