Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Inventory Specialist in Anniston, AL to lead and standardize material handling across North American sites. You will drive inventory analysis, data integrity, and production readiness while collaborating with logistics partners and plant teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, reports review, root cause analysis, and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience in an inventory management or manufacturing role.
• Hands-on experience with inventory analysis and cycle counts.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and projects effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and standardize internal material handling operations at multiple sites across North America.
• Support inventory analysis and data-driven decisions with logistics partners and plant departments.
• Maintain accuracy of systems supporting production operation standards and parts availability.
• Validate department readiness to meet manufacturing goals.
• Review daily inventory and production reports and resolve issues on site.
• Support production teams by ensuring data quality and minimizing impact on readiness.
• Manage and execute project-related activities and ensure timely completion.
• Capture lessons learned and apply to future operations.
• Develop networks with facilities to share best practices and promote collaboration.
• Perform cycle counts to verify stock accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
• Apply root cause analysis to resolve inventory and material handling issues.
• Use MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook to analyze data and communicate findings.
• Ensure alignment between parts flow, logistics, and delivery systems from a production perspective.
