David Protein in New York City is seeking an Inventory Operations Analyst to own the systems, data, and analytical work behind inventory operations across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, including item master data, production planning support, inventory movements, reconciliations, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-output environment such as supply chain and inventory operations.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work with large data sets.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive ownership mindset.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and execute quickly in a fast-growing environment.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to translate complex operational issues into actionable recommendations.
• Low ego and willingness to do whatever the work requires; interest in building the brand's mission.
• Preferred: experience with NetSuite or another ERP, and familiarity with WMS/TMS platforms.
• Preferred: experience in CPG, food and beverage, manufacturing, or retail with lot-controlled and shelf-life-sensitive inventory

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory across locations and track coverage, days on hand, aging, and expiration.
• Translate production schedules into material requirements and shortages with recommended actions.
• Analyze forecast accuracy and inventory trends to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Logistics to resolve inventory constraints before production disruption.
• Own lot-level reconciliations across NetSuite, 3PLs, and co-manufacturers.
• Coordinate cycle counts and implement controls to improve inventory accuracy.
• Support month-end close, inventory valuation, and documentation of adjustments.
• Develop dashboards and tools to provide visibility into availability, movements, and performance.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and strengthen inventory processes.
