Job summary

GOAT Group in Fontana, CA, is hiring an Inventory Manager to lead a high-volume Inventory team, focusing on accuracy, shrink, and loss prevention while coaching 10+ staff. You will analyze data to drive process improvements, coordinate with Engineering on network solutions, and contribute to quality control SOPs.

The role requires 3+ years leading teams, strong communication, and the ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. Weekend/holiday hours may be needed during peak periods.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience, including training and developing teams of 10+ staff members.
• Extensive background in high-volume inventory control, with 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the sneaker industry.
• Advanced in order fulfillment, fulfillment support, order picking and all inbound/outbound mechanisms.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Advanced proficiency in Google Docs, Excel and SQL.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving ability with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
• Ability to work while standing and walking, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, during peak periods to meet business demands.

Responsibilities

• Understand daily operational and strategic goals and proactively call out risks or issues that could prevent the team from meeting their goals.
• Proactively works to increase employee engagement by modeling GOAT Group's core values and promoting a culture of safety and teamwork.
• Oversee the people management and development of the Inventory team, including coaching employees to meet operational goals, performance management, training and personnel escalations.
• Take full ownership of on-hands products in their physical and systematic locations.
• Utilize data to analyze business trends, create impactful new processes and develop network solutions in collaboration with the Engineering team.
• Support SOP creation for proper Quality Control expectations within Inventory.
• Support the creation of a 3-6 month visibility of succession and headcount (HC) needs for the Inventory team.
• Maintain flexibility for additional projects and adapt to evolving processes, fostering a proactive team attitude.
• Work in a dynamic warehouse environment with heavy equipment.
