Job summary

LSB Chemical L.L.C. is seeking a detail-oriented accountant to support general ledger, inventory management, and accounts payable activities within a collaborative finance team.

The role emphasizes accuracy in monthly close processes and full exposure to ERP-based inventory and production reporting. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, have internship or academic experience, and be proficient in Excel and ERP systems such as JD Edwards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Internship or academic experience preferred.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards or other ERP systems is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Analyze daily inventory and production reports; identify discrepancies and work with plant personnel to resolve.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and perform fixed cost variance analysis.
• Reconcile prepaid, accrual, and other balance sheet accounts; investigate discrepancies.
• Support monthly A/P close activities, vendor setup, and reconciliation of invoices.
