Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a reliable Stocker in Lafayette, LA to stock shelves, organize backroom inventory, and keep the sales floor neat and ready for customers.

You will follow merchandising standards, assist with transfers and returns, and help with floor moves and displays while maintaining safety and teamwork to ensure an exceptional shopping experience.

This role requires attention to detail, good English reading skills, and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately stock and organize merchandise in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Safely use store equipment following company policies.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic reading comprehension of instructions and policies.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cavender's culture and drive Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Stock merchandise to the sales floor and backroom per standards.
• Inspect merchandise for quality, tagging, and placement before stocking.
• Organize back stock to maintain inventory accuracy and flow.
• Assist with processing transfers, special orders, and returns as directed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor and backroom.
• Assist with merchandising projects, floor moves, and displays.
• Report safety or inventory concerns to management.
• Attend to customers by locating merchandise or guiding them to staff.
• Fulfill other store tasks as assigned.
