Job summary

MedStar Health in Maryland is seeking a Materials Handler to receive, inspect, store, deliver and issue materials, supplies and equipment. You will maintain inventory levels by checking shelves, restocking carts and keeping accurate supply records in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include preparing purchase orders at reorder points, tracking shipments, and supporting department goals while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year or 6 months related experience required.
• Experience working with computerized inventory management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies.
• Maintains inventory levels by checking shelves, restocks supply carts and maintains supply records.
• Prepares and maintains shipping records; makes up bills of lading and other documentation for shipment of materials, parts, finished goods and related items.
• Receives incoming materials supplies and equipment and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment against purchase order.
• Receives requests for supplies selects stock from inventory loads distribution vehicles and distributes supplies and special instruments to requisitioning departments.
