Job summary

Westlake Chemical Corporation is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate and direct daily work assignments in the Columbus, OH warehouse operations area. You will lead a team, ensure accurate inventory, and uphold safety and 5S standards while optimizing material handling and shipping workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-8+ years of experience related to warehouse operations.
• Proven ability to lead shipping and warehouse processes and personnel.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees, co-workers and management.
• Proficient with JDE-ERP and DSI scanning.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily workflow of the TAV and North Plant Warehouse Operations while guiding and coaching team members.
• Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory records, materials received, stored, and distributed, while ensuring proper storage arrangements and efficient material handling methods.
• Provide guidance to other departments regarding proper product storage requirements.
• Participate in the selection, training, and development of personnel in the department.
• Train employees in the safe operation of mobile material-handling equipment.
• Prepare and ship orders daily following the transportation schedule.
• Coordinate and oversee the loading of outbound shipments.
• Coordinate shuttle movements between facilities, including finished goods, raw materials, and packaging materials.
• Ensure the safe and productive operation of all equipment by department personnel.
• Verify that all trailer securing, loading, and material-handling activities are performed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Communicate with the Transportation Department and Customer Service as needed.
• Coach staff on standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
• Conduct safety observations and participate in incident investigations.
• Promote and enforce 5S housekeeping and organizational standards, all safety requirements, and company policies.
• All other duties as assigned.
