Job summary

Westlake Chemical Corporation is hiring a Supervisor – Inventory Control to lead inventory management, receiving, production planning and scheduling across Marion, Bristol, and Westfield operations.

You will supervise clerks and related staff, develop procedures, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow, accuracy, and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is required.
• Six+ years of direct inventory management and planning experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate concepts into actionable plans.
• Proven ability to lead across departments through influence and drive accountability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inventory control clerks, supply room personnel, and return goods coordinators.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve workflow, accuracy, and compliance.
• Lead multi-site inventory management for raw materials, finished goods, and consignment locations.
• Oversee cycle counting, month-end and year-end inventory processes.
• Support production scheduling and line configuration to maximize throughput and meet requirements.
• Develop annual SKU forecasts and manage information in JD Edwards.
• Maintain Product Data Management processes, including JD Edwards catalog items across plants.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory, planning, scheduling, and operational issues.
• Provide coaching and direction to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
