Job summary

Expro International Group in Houston is seeking a Materials Control Coordinator to support the Manufacturing Group by tracking and moving materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring material availability to support production schedules.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow established procedures while coordinating with Purchasing and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or certification in supply chain or logistics a plus.
• 1–2 years of experience in inventory, materials handling, or a similar support role preferred.
• Basic understanding of inventory systems and procurement processes.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Satisfactory results on pre-employment screening (ie background check, drug/alcohol test, physical).

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring inventory levels by reviewing system-generated reports and flagging discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit local purchase requisitions based on direction from the Materials Coordinator or Manufacturing Manager.
• Support in verifying material deliveries against purchase orders for quantity and basic compliance.
• Communicate with the Purchasing and Operations teams to help ensure timely material availability.
• Track the movement and delivery timing of materials to support the production schedule.
• Participate in regular inventory cycle counts and assist in data entry and reconciliation.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and ethics codes.
• Perform additional support duties as assigned by the Materials Coordinator or management.
