Job description

Overview

Position Summary: As an Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for managing people, processes, and systems to ensure accurate inventory management and material flow to support a highly efficient manufacturing system. This role requires an in-depth understanding of inventory management and warehouse execution systems, effective communication across multiple departments, analytical abilities for root cause investigations, and a proven track record of leading sustainable process improvements across multiple sites.

Must reside within 60 miles of Birmingham, AL, Spartanburg, SC, or Tulsa, OK.

Responsibilities
  1. Establish, communicate, train, and maintain an inventory control policy for raw materials and finished goods at all locations.
  2. Create standard work processes and procedures to ensure accurate movement and tracking of inventory across receiving, warehousing, production, and distribution.
  3. Support and contribute to the development and rollout of the company-wide ERP system upgrade.
  4. Lead year-end physical inventory counts at all required locations.
  5. Develop and deliver inventory control metrics and dashboards for real-time feedback to frontline leaders and associates.
  6. This position has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality.
  7. Perform other responsibilities as necessary.

Supervisory: This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  2. 5+ years of experience in distribution, warehouse settings, or supply chain management roles.
  3. Food/beverage and/or CPG experience preferred.
  4. Experience with ERP, WMS, and WES required.
Physical Demands

While performing this job, employees are regularly required to use hands, reach, see, talk, and hear. They must stand, walk, stoop, or kneel and regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision. Employees are exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, and occasionally extreme cold. The environment is typically loud. These physical demands are representative of those encountered during the job.
