  • Discuss performance with Area Directors; drive engagement.
  • Direct workforce to ensure efficient workflow and open communication.
  • Hire inventory personnel; coach and deliver disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Replenishment, Sales, Merchandising.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory and lead Finance and Supply Chain functions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes, drive results, and safeguard company assets
  • Deliver inventory metrics aligned with key results
  • Plan and schedule inventory control staff and delegate requests with warehouse operations personnel
  • Attract, develop, and lead a skilled and motivated team
  • Apply root cause analysis and implement best practices and continuous improvement measures
  • Identify and resolve inventory loss root causes and implement preventive measures
  • Analyze and report Inventory Adjustments weekly, focusing on trends and key variables
  • Manage reclamation of vendor packaging issues, including billback and on-site product repackaging
  • Manage non-saleable inventory and coordinate timely resolution with stakeholders
  • Review and approve customer credit requests
  • Perform SOX controls, including inventory report reviews, route aging and reconciliation reports, and quarterly cycle counts
  • Champion warehouse safety procedures, processes, and training
  • Discuss Inventory Clerk performance with Area Directors and Finance and address gaps
  • Drive associate engagement, retention, and a values-based culture
  • Direct workforce to ensure efficient workflow and open communication
  • Review staffing requirements, interview and hire inventory personnel, coach performance, and deliver disciplinary action
  • Improve processes to reduce waste and increase safety and efficiency
  • Collaborate with Operations, Replenishment, Sales, and Merchandising to achieve Inventory Adjustment results
  • Perform other duties assigned by manager
  • Manage up to 9 employees depending on market size and complexity
  • Work with internal departments and external vendors, suppliers, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in inventory control or warehousing
  • Strong understanding of inventory control procedures
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience and time management skills
  • Ability to inspire followership of peers and team members
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with timekeeping, warehousing and distribution back-office systems
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Forklift and HAACP training will be provided; certification within 1st 90 days required
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, etc.) preferred
  • Experience in foodservice distribution preferred
