BASIC FUNCTION:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and performance of warehouse operations. This role oversees inventory staff, manages budgets and resources, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures operational excellence in safety, quality, inventory management, and customer service.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead inventory control and warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Develop and implement inventory and warehouse strategies to improve efficiency, service levels, and cost performance.
- Establish operational goals and KPIs; analyze data and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage the inventory team and support their development, including labor planning, staffing levels, and workforce productivity.
- Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through effective inventory management processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards, including support for facility audits.
- Develop and manage budgets and operating expenses.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies, and evaluate technology and automation opportunities to improve performance; partner with transportation, procurement, manufacturing, and customer service teams to support business objectives.
- Establish operational goals and monitor performance against KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in inventory management ERP systems and Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data analysis.
- Proven 5 years’ experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or retail environment.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Financial and budget management experience.
- Expertise in warehouse management systems and inventory controls.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform routine facility inspections.
