POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inventory Management Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the Thorne Research Warehouse facility, ensures compliance with Inventory Management departmental procedures, and performs specific duties as assigned, in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and applicable Thorne Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

DIRECT/TOTAL REPORTS: 5 – 21+

RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Oversees daily operations of all aspects of the Inventory Management department, including receiving, warehousing/support, cycle counting, work order posting, and other inventory functions.
  2. Leads a high-performance team, providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and developing teamwork across departments. Sets goals and maintains proactive communication.
  3. Provides clear written and oral directions to team members.
  4. Guides and utilizes personnel effectively to meet departmental requirements.
  5. Conducts performance assessments of staff, including evaluations of performance, behaviors, and leadership potential.
  6. Ensures accurate inventory data, including cycle counts, transfers, and adjustments.
  7. Maintains cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, following industrial best practices.
  8. Ensures adherence to all safety standards, including OSHA regulations.
  9. Trains Inventory Management staff in their duties and operating powered industrial equipment.
  10. Coordinates maintenance of inventory equipment and repairs as needed.
  11. Follows the Standards of Conduct outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  12. Ensures necessary resources are available to meet department goals and standards.
  13. Updates management daily on warehouse status, personnel, and relevant information.
  14. Ensures SOPs are followed properly.
  15. Verifies completion of ETQ training and attendance at required sessions by staff.
  16. Maintains knowledge to create and review procedures aligned with cGMP and Thorne guidelines.
What You Need:

High school diploma or GED and at least four years of related experience or training.
