Job summary

State of Iowa is seeking a Storekeeper/Inventory Clerk responsible for receiving campus shipments, processing orders, packing and shipping items, and maintaining accurate inventory. The role includes supervising I/I workers, managing high-use items, and delivering within secure areas using state vehicles.

Qualified candidates will have three years of full-time clerical/warehousing experience and current state executive branch experience including twelve months as a Storekeeper 2.

Qualifications

• Three years of full-time work experience in clerical, inventory, stores, supply, or warehousing work.
• Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes twelve months of full-time work as a Storekeeper 2.

Responsibilities

• Receive campus shipments and verify accuracy.
• Receive and process campus store orders.
• Package, ship, and return items as needed.
• Tasks may be performed while supervising a crew of I/I workers.
• Keep accurate inventory, research inventory and cost of required supplies.
• Keep inventory of high use items at reasonable levels.
• Pull items from inventory and make daily deliveries inside secure perimeter as well as north core by use of state truck.
• Maintain accurate inventory of chemicals and ensure SDS sheets are up to date.
