Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field with six or more years in inventory planning and control.
• Extensive understanding of inventory planning, control standards, practices, concepts, and principles, plus knowledge of computer-based manufacturing systems and MRP.
• Customer-focused with: identifying issues, data analysis, organization, communication, and project management skills.
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel; familiarity with Asset Smart and government property management.

Responsibilities

• Directs and actively participates in daily inventory management operations including reviewing and approving requisitions, stock transfers, shortages and expediting to meet requirements.
• Helps develop programs, tools, policies and procedures for inventory management and control.
• Assists in implementing standard procedures and maintaining tools to meet project needs.
• Develops inventory control programs to ensure timely delivery within budget.
• Assists in implementing systems to support inventory management.
• Identifies supply-demand issues and develops solutions for management.
• Assigns tasks, reviews work and provides direction to staff to meet timelines.
• Develops and presents inventory reports to management.
• Advises on strategic material planning and represents the unit with internal/external stakeholders.
• Participates in planning, attraction, selection, retention and development of staff.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Performs other duties and ensures compliance with laws and operating procedures.
