Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is seeking a seasoned Manager of Inventory and Logistics to lead a multi-site team responsible for inventory controls, shipping, receiving, and material handling.

You will drive perpetual inventory reporting, on-time delivery, and packaging solutions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with SOPs. Travel up to 25% and hands-on leadership are key. Base pay range CA only: $108,000–$135,000 USD; comprehensive benefits and stock program included.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience (12+ years total).
• 5+ years of related experience in leadership within supply chain.
• Proven ability to manage inventory teams.
• Proven ability to implement systems and tools for material management.
• Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math and statistics.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to multiple sites primarily on the east coast.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team of people responsible for inventory management, material handling, and shipping and receiving across several sites on the east coast.
• Accountable for inventory controls, perpetual inventory reporting, on-time delivery of material from inventory to production, and packaging solutions to prevent damage to parts.
• Responsible for implementing systems and processes, to manage bar-coding and bin locations for inventory management.
• Responsible for inventory planning and kitting process, to deliver materials line-side to production cells.
• Responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and cycle counts are meeting Finance requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring shipping and receiving processes are in place and support procure-to-pay process.
• Responsible for receiving inspection and to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Travel domestically and abroad.
• Additional duties as reasonably required.
