Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Port Deposit, MD is hiring an Inventory Control Manager to oversee end-to-end operations of accounts and ensure customer satisfaction. The role includes P&L responsibility, compliance, and safety leadership.

The position is salaried with bonus potential and full benefits. You will supervise both salaried and hourly staff, coordinate with senior management and customers, manage payroll, and analyze profitability while handling accounts payable and invoicing.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
• Three+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• Two+ years of managing and leading direct reports.
• Strong knowledge of transportation and/or warehouse logistics operations; safety and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of salaried and hourly staff under their responsibility.
• Collaborate with senior management and customers to meet account needs and expectations.
• Be responsible for payroll of employees.
• Analyze weekly and monthly P&L to determine profitability and report to senior management.
• Handle accounts payable, vendor quotes and customer invoicing.
• Hold safety and security meetings and provide safety training.
