Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring an Inventory Control Manager for Port Deposit, MD to oversee the efficient operation of accounts, including P&L responsibility and ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance, and safety.

The role requires leadership of a team and collaboration with senior management and clients. The position involves payroll oversight, vendor management, and driving profitability through weekly and monthly financial reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain is preferred.
• Three or more years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• Two or more years of managing and leading direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage salaried and hourly employees and resolve performance issues, ensuring policy compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management and customers to meet needs and expectations.
• Oversee payroll for the team.
• Analyze weekly and monthly P&L to assess profitability and report to senior management.
• Handle accounts payable, vendor quotes, and customer invoicing.
• Conduct safety meetings and provide safety training to ensure compliance.
