Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to support our logistics and data center operation in Houston. You will handle receiving, inspection, and accurate recording of inventory, coordinate shipments, and assist with rack assembly under guidance. A background in logistics and proficiency with Excel/Word are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic office software (Excel, Word).
• Ability to do basic math with or without a calculator.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Familiarity with lifting techniques and material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Inventory management: receive, inspect, and record inventory accurately.
• Maintain stock records and documentation for received and shipped items.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers.
• Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packing for shipments.
• Inspect incoming shipments and ensure accuracy.
• Operate material handling equipment safely for moving inventory.
• Assist with setup and installation of server racks per guidance from seniors.
