Job summary

Viking Utility Services, a Danella Company, is seeking an inventory/yard associate to manage yard materials, restock shelves, and ensure accurate inventory records on site.

You will implement replenishment strategies, project future needs, conduct counts, and coordinate material runs to job sites, while working outdoors in varying weather and maintaining a roster of tools.

Qualifications

• Able to perform physical work (bending, lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading).
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• CDL driver's license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage yard materials, including receiving, stocking, transfers, restock and aisle inventory maintenance.
• Implement replenishment strategies to minimize waste and maximize inventory turnover.
• Develop inventory projections based on inbound materials, historical consumption data, future demand plans to optimize inventory levels and proactively identify risk of excess/ shortages.
• Responsible for inventory counts: order and follow-up on materials ordered.
• Running material to job sites when needed.
• Reviewing orders and system settings for data accuracy.
• Willing and able to safely work outside in changing weather conditions.
• Manage tool inventory and maintain an accurate roster of assigned tools.
