Job summary

Teledyne Relays in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Shipping Clerk (Material Handler/Kitter) to receive, store, issue, and control materials for manufacturing, ensuring accurate ERP transactions and timely delivery to work centers.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining inventory accuracy while supporting daily production schedules and operational priorities.

Qualifications

• US Person due to ITAR restrictions.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in material handling or inventory control is preferred.
• Experience picking and kitting from BOMs or work orders preferred.
• Experience with cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
• Ability to count small components accurately.
• Understanding of FIFO and material traceability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• ERP/MRP system experience; Infor MAPICS desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials, verify quantities and documentation before stocking.
• Perform ERP inventory transactions including receipts and issues.
• Stock materials using FIFO in designated locations.
• Pick and kit materials per MOs and production schedules.
• Deliver completed kits to manufacturing areas per priorities.
• Identify shortages and communicate issues to teams.
• Maintain inventory accuracy with cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Maintain traceability and proper identification of material.
• Keep stockroom clean, organized, and safe per 5S.
• Support periodic inventories and other storage functions.
