Job summary

JAM Industries, Ltd. in Mississippi is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to audit inventory and support warehouse operations, ensuring customer orders are processed within a 24-hour window.

You will perform picking, packing, receiving and shipping duties, operate order pickers and RF scanners, and maintain safety and accuracy in a fast-paced team environment. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with RF devices are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum GED or High School Diploma.
• Minimum 3 years in a warehouse role (picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory).
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with RF devices.
• Experience with Oracle WMS is a plus.
• Self-starter able to work autonomously.
• Team oriented and detail focused.
• 1 year of experience operating reach trucks/order pickers.
• Able to safely use pallet jack, box cutter, tape gun, and other warehouse tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Job description

JOB PURPOSE

The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of essential inventory related functions to audit and support warehouse operations to accurately process customer orders within a 24 hour window. Functions include inventory, shipping, picking, packing and receiving responsibilities.

The Warehouse Specialist supports the operation through safe, accurate, and efficient processing of musical electronics, instruments, and accessories.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
• Safely operate an order picker, reach truck, sit down counterbalance, or powered pallet jack.
• Work productively and accurately to complete assigned pick tasks.
• Accurately read and match printed model numbers, unit quantities, and locations to pick orders.
• Demonstrate responsibility and compliance with all safety and quality policies and standards.
• Move to the work as needed in a cooperative and flowing team environment.
• Complete tasks for various departments such as Inventory, Receiving and Shipping.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of a GED or High School Diploma.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse position (including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory etc.)
• Must have basic computer skills and be familiar with RF scan-guns.
• Experience in Oracle WMS a plus.
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work autonomously.
• Must demonstrate ability to work harmoniously in a team.
• Must be detail oriented and have a strong sense of organization.
• Minimum of 1 year experience on reach truck and order picker lifts.
• Must be able to safely use a pallet jack, box cutter, tape gun and other warehouse equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a team as well as autonomously.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs without assistance using proper lifting techniques and/or with assistance of a pallet jack.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
