Job summary

Oatey Co. is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Specialist in Shakopee, MN to maintain accurate inventory in our warehouse. You will perform cycle counts, correct empty bins, and investigate variances to optimize stock accuracy.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with one year of related experience and certification for powered industrial trucks within the first 90 days. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• One year of related work experience in a similar environment.
• Ability to work at heights with attention to detail.
• Must obtain company powered industrial truck certification and achieve independent order picker operation within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of additional equipment (e.g., handheld computer, computer and printer).
• General knowledge of the production floor and products produced/packaged.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to make daily decisions and use good judgment with minimal supervision.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred with math/science background.

Responsibilities

• Maintain warehouse inventory to ensure accuracy and integrity of computer information systems.
• Validate inventory through cycle counting and empty bin correction.
• Conduct root cause reviews and investigate transactions to reconcile inventory and clear variances.
• Make improvement recommendations to ensure accurate product counts.
• Process and adjust customer returned goods to inventory.
• Process damaged goods for rework by production.
• Remove production waste from inventory.
• Locate misplaced goods needed for processing or shipment.
• Facilitate physical movement of warehouse goods.
• Other duties as assigned.
