Job summary

Advanced Technology Services (ATS) is seeking an inventory and purchasing specialist to oversee on-site inventory, restock items, process stock repairs, and manage vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and 3+ years of related experience; or 5 years combined education/experience.
• Strong reading, writing and math skills; ability to present information clearly.
• Ability to work in a team, stay organized, and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the integrity of inventory and restocking of items onsite.
• Processes repairs for stock; timestamps repair parts and delivers components to technicians.
• Controls inventory and material from vendors within department budget; analyzes records.
• Processes requisitions, monitors stock levels, enters orders and tracking data.
• Maintains cross-reference system for optimal usage; tracks nonconforming parts.
• Assists in resolving inventory discrepancies; participates in semi-annual physical inventory.
• Supports purchasing team in researching difficult parts and vendors.
• Establishes and maintains cost reduction initiatives; reports results to management.
