Job summary

ATS is a manufacturing-focused company seeking an Inventory and Purchasing Clerk to maintain inventory integrity and ensure timely restocking within a factory setting. You will manage stock levels, process repairs for stock, and coordinate with technicians to supply components.

Responsibilities include monitoring purchase orders, expediting late material, and collaborating with accounting and operations to stay within budget.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information.

Responsibilities

• Oversees inventory integrity and restocking of items.
• Processes repairs for stock and delivers parts to technicians.
• Manages stock and reorder levels to control budget and improve inventory use.
• Monitors purchase orders, tracks orders, and expedites late material.
• Maintains cross-reference system and resolves discrepancies in inventory.
• Collaborates with managers to stay within budget.
• Supports training in purchasing professionalism and vendor evaluation.
• Identifies and evaluates plant-level service vendors.
• Supports service/quality initiatives and adheres to safety procedures.
