Job summary

TransChicago Truck Group in Gary, IN is seeking an Inventory Cycle Counter responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through cycle counts and audits. You'll identify discrepancies and support corrective actions to keep stock integrity.

This role works Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, and requires basic math, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a warehouse environment. Forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in inventory control or warehouse environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills; ERP experience a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies with department managers.
• Maintain inventory data in ERP or warehouse management system.
• Audit transactions including receiving, picking, packing, transfers, and returns.
• Support annual physical counts and assist with reconciliations.
• Follow safe handling procedures and coordinate with warehouse staff.
