Job summary

Flex-N-Gate LLC is seeking a Cycle Counter in Detroit, MI to maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and discrepancy investigations. You will work closely with the Materials, Production and Quality teams to support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts.

The role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, proficiency with databases and MS Office, and the ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years manufacturing/inventory experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and data entry is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inventory expert, working with ERP systems to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and monitor inventory accuracy.
• Maintain minimum inventory levels and monitor for accuracy regularly with cycle counts.
• Communicate current inventory with Material Scheduler.
• Work as a team with Manufacturing to locate and cycle count product.
• Check and update inventory databases with current data.
• Verify receipt data entry from Receivers and monitor FIFO of raw materials throughout the plant.
• CMS database - Troubleshooting inventory discrepancies, understanding transactions in inventory database and root cause analysis.
• Keep up to date with system changes and training requirements related to job duties.
