Job summary

Core-Mark International in Hayward, CA is seeking an Inventory Cycle Counter to count physical inventory, verify stock figures, and help improve warehouse controls to ensure inventory accuracy.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a freezer environment, and proficiency with scanners and basic software; schedule is Monday to Friday 4:00 AM–12:30 PM, pay is $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months warehouse experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use handheld scanners or RF devices.
• Must be able to work scheduled times and required overtime.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly.
• Able to lift 10-35 pounds, up to 60-90 pounds depending on location.
• Must be willing to work in a freezer environment. Freezer jackets provided.
• Knowledge of inventory software (AS400, Oracle, etc.).
• Post-offer drug test and criminal background check required.
• Intermediate Excel experience.

Responsibilities

• Count materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies in-stock; create total inventory records.
• Compare inventories to office records and compute figures.
• Verify counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory rotations and make recommendations.
• Prepare reports such as inventory balances and cycle counts.
• Review daily reports directed by the Auditor.
• Maintain shrink at or below company standard.
• Understand how departments impact inventory integrity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
