The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to administer the technology asset management system, track inventory data, and develop procedures to maintain accuracy. The role involves coordinating with faculty and staff to replace and deploy equipment, and providing inventory reports to support purchasing decisions.
You will research potential purchase options, monitor warranty expirations, and ensure proper disposal of retired technology with data removal.
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the administration of the technology asset management system. This position gathers, maintains, and tracks inventory information, develops procedures to ensure the ongoing accuracy of asset data, researches technology purchasing options, coordinates with faculty and staff to replace and deploy new equipment, and provides inventory reporting to support purchasing and replacement decisions.
The employee in this position will have the following primary job functions:
The ideal candidate in this position will have experience in project coordination, record-keeping, inventory management, and/or administration. This person must be detail-oriented and able to complete objectives through personal initiative. The successful candidate must also be able to communicate with faculty and staff in a friendly and professional manner. Experience in information technology, such as helpdesk support, is a plus.
The person in this position will supervise no one.
The person in this position will report to the Associate Director of Technology Support.
The person in this position will work in a typical office environment.
The person in this position will use the following equipment: computer, phone, standard office technology.
