Abacus Corporation is seeking dependable Inventory Coordinators to support operations in our distribution center focused on large industrial components for power generation facilities. The role emphasizes inventory accuracy, material movement coordination, and safe handling within a fast-paced warehouse.

The successful candidate will manage cycle counts, use WMS, and collaborate with receiving, shipping, and quality teams to ensure precise records and timely shipments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with warehouse software and RF scanners preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Coordinate the movement of large industrial parts throughout the distribution center.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for quantity, quality, and documentation accuracy.
  • Work closely with receiving, shipping, quality, and operations teams to ensure inventory integrity.
  • Identify damaged, missing, or incorrect materials and initiate corrective actions.
  • Ensure inventory locations are organized, labeled, and maintained according to company standards.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and staging oversized materials using forklifts or other material handling equipment (training/certification provided if applicable).
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for inventory transactions.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures while handling large industrial components.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.

Inventory Coordinator (1st & 2nd Shift)

Location: Distribution Center
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Shift Availability: 1st Shift and 2nd Shift
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinators to support operations in our distribution center specializing in large industrial components for power generation facilities. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating material movement, and ensuring critical parts are received, stored, and shipped efficiently. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, has strong organizational skills, and is committed to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliations.

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, or RF scanners is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Forklift certification is a plus or willingness to become certified.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, or move materials up to 50 pounds; heavier items moved using mechanical lifting equipment.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working around large industrial equipment and oversized inventory.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
Schedule
  • Full-time positions available on both 1st Shift and 2nd Shift.
  • Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on business needs.
