Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking an Inventory Clerk for the MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland to maintain efficient operation of the storeroom and manage the flow of supplies and services in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will liaise with technologists, nursing personnel, internal departments and vendors to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of service while upholding the system's mission and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of experience in inventory control, storeroom activities, or clinical services.
• Knowledge of clinical equipment and supplies.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good customer service skills.
• Sound judgment, flexibility, initiative, and problem solving.

Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 11pm-7:30am alternating weekends and holidays

Summary

Maintains the efficient and effective operation of the inventory storeroom for assigned area(s). Initiates and monitors the flow of operational supplies and services. Serves as a liaison to technologists, nursing personnel, internal departments, and sales representatives. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications

Required:

• HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• 2 years of experience in inventory control, storeroom activities, or clinical services.
• Knowledge of clinical equipment and supplies.
• Ability to perform detail-oriented tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated skills in customer service.
• Demonstrated PC proficiency.
• Demonstrates sound judgment, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to problem solve.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred

• Experience with the Lawson Inventory System, or other inventory system(s).
• Experience with processing special/rush orders.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to type at least 30 wpm.

Physical Requirements

May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
