Job summary

Matrix Adhesives Group is seeking an Inventory Specialist to maintain accurate stock levels and support efficient product flows at our Durham, NC site. You will count physical inventory, investigate discrepancies, and generate reports to prevent recurrence.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, data reconciliation, participating in annual inventories, and ensuring safe operations while complying with regulatory requirements. Strong Excel and ERP experience preferred (JDE, Paycom).

Qualifications

• 3 years related inventory experience.
• Shipping and receiving experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of distribution environments, inventory, and warehouse operations.
• Solid computer and reporting skills: (Microsoft Office, JDE, Paycom)
• JDE software experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Continuous improvement approach to processes.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the cycle count progress to identify necessary recounts and provides regular reports on the results.
• Analyze data, reconcile, and accurately process all inventory discrepancies and adjustments from cycle counts.
• Drives annual and quarterly physical inventory counts and is required to work extended hours during inventories if required.
• Own 5S of the finished goods and raw material warehouses
• Identifies aged and damaged inventory and completes Inventory Adjustment forms and inputs corrections in Inventory System
• Monitor product flow, supplies to ensure smooth operations without disruptions.
• Ensure a safe, clean work environment is maintained through proactive safety measures.
• Disposal of hazardous waste in appropriate waste container and transport to central accumulation area.
• Affix hazardous material placards to bulk loads.
• Monitor and control inventory to maintain RCRA compliance.
• Immediate Transfer of liquid hazardous waste from production areas to 90 day storage area.
• Collection of liquid and solid waste into satellite accumulation areas(SAA).
• Transfer of solid hazardous waste from SAA to 90 day storage.
• Proper Labeling of Hazardous Waste Containers.
• Other duties as assigned.
