Overview

The Inventory Control Technician (ICT) ensures the accuracy and integrity of inventory records while supporting materials management and warehouse operations. This role monitors inventory levels, conducts detailed audits, reconciles discrepancies, and maintains precise documentation. The technician collaborates with warehouse staff and procurement teams to optimize inventory flow, reduce variances, and ensure timely availability of materials. Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking are essential to maintain high standards of accuracy and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and store incoming inventory items.
  • Determine appropriate storage locations for inventory items based on their type or function.
  • Coordinate warehouse activities such as loading and unloading trucks.
  • Pick orders from shelves.
  • Unpack shipments.
  • Prepare inventory reports by counting, measuring, and recording data about items in inventory.
  • Update inventory counts.
  • Report any inventory discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Maintain inventory records to ensure that items are correctly categorized.
  • Keep warehouse organized.
  • Restructuring pallets.
  • Inspect shipments for accuracy and completeness, resolving inconsistencies.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
