Job summary

GEODIS is hiring a Warehouse Inventory Control Team Lead to oversee stock planning, cycle counts, and accuracy across accounts. You will train and direct a team, resolve discrepancies, and ensure safe, compliant operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role emphasizes process improvements, daily reporting, and coordination with supervisors to maintain efficient inventory levels. On-site position with opportunities for growth and industry-standard benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in warehouse, yard, or stockroom inventory role.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
• Experience with forklift operation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning stockroom layout considering turnover, size, weight, and item factors.
• Review records for accuracy and stock level adequacy.
• Train, direct, and assign workload to a warehouse team for accounts.
• Trace item history to explain discrepancies and suggest remedial actions.
• Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Set inventory cycle counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Review daily reports to ensure key tasks are completed for accurate inventory.
• Prepare composite reports from Inventory Specialists’ reports.
• Assist in physical inventories and stock rotation.
• Perform audits and cycle counts per ISO 9001 procedures.
• Inform supervisor of unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Report food safety issues for food accounts to senior management.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
