Job summary

AROW Global Corp in Mosinee, Wisconsin is seeking an Inventory Control Team Lead to oversee IC workflow, supervise staff, and maintain a safe, efficient operation on 1st shift and weekend openings. Reporting to the Materials Supervisor, you’ll help set schedules, train team members, and partner with production to meet daily targets while upholding quality and safety standards.

Three openings exist for Inventory Control Leads, requiring leadership experience, ERP/IFS familiarity, and forklift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree desired.
• Three to five years manufacturing experience with 1-2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with ERP software; knowledge of IFS preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to drive a forklift or obtain license; strong computer skills.
• Understanding of production schedules, demand and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure documentation is accurate.
• Guide production staff to hit daily production targets and delivery requirements.
• Collaborate with the Materials Supervisor to set staff schedules and staffing needs.
• Communicate deviations to daily plans to Materials Supervisor/Manager.
• Resolve production and quality issues with relevant departments.
• Lead daily shift start meetings and participate in continuous improvement (5S, lean).
• Ensure materials availability and manage supplies as needed.
• Participate in training for production staff and monitor progress.

INVENTORY CONTROL LEAD

As AROW Global continues to grow, we’re expanding our team to support that growth! We currently have THREE openings for Inventory Control Leads - 1st Shift opening (2) and one Weekend Shift opening.

Summary

Reporting to the Materials Supervisor, the Inventory Control Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the Inventory Control (IC) workflow and schedule, supervising and training IC staff, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment while successfully meeting workflow demands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by instructing and monitoring Inventory Control employees’ work practices and conformance with procedures and company policies. Ensure all documentation is filled in consistently and accurately.
• Provide guidance to production staff to achieve daily production targets and customer delivery requirements.
• Collaborate with Materials Supervisor to establish work schedules, place team members and determine staffing needs.
• Maintain regular communication with Materials Supervisor and Materials Manager to report any deviations to daily plans or concerns related to safety, quality, machines, processes, materials, etc.
• Resolve production and quality problems by working with the appropriate departments.
• Actively participate in a variety of daily meetings and facilitate daily shift start meetings.
• Perform quality checks during shifts to assure compliance with quality standards throughout all production operations.
• Ensure adequate levels of materials and/or consumables are available and order supplies as needed.
• Be involved with all levels of training for production staff including conducting training and reviewing weekly progress. Assist Materials Supervisor with evaluating training progress and completion.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects including 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• As part of the AROW Global team you will need to understand the AROW Business System policy and objectives and how you affect conformance to them.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; technical degree desired.
• Three to five years of manufacturing experience with 1-2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software; knowledge of IFS is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities sufficient to provide supervisory backup and ability to lead team with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to drive a forklift or complete training to obtain forklift license.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Understanding of production schedules and demand and delivery.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and change priorities as needed.
• Capacity to work well in a team environment.
• Two (2) weeks of vacation, on an accrual system
