Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a shipping/receiving supervisor role.
• Basic mathematical skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be flexible and able to adjust to variable work demands.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and assignment of work for efficient use of personnel and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and establish inventory levels based on prior usage and future demand.
• Receive incoming shipments and enter information into tracking system for disbursement.
• Inspect deliveries for accuracy and quality based on product order and reject undesired items.
• Supervise the warehouse and the inventory to ensure security and upkeep.
• Assist in ordering from site vendors by advising management and contacting vendors when needed.
• Develop and recommend improvements in warehouse practices to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
• Provide training to warehouse employees and assist with selection of staff.
• Uncrate shipments and dispose of or store containers and packaging as appropriate.
