Job summary

First Solar Inc. seeks an Inventory Control Supervisor to lead a team of Inventory Control Specialists, maintaining inventory integrity and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain from vendor docks to manufacturing delivery points.

The role emphasizes problem solving, process optimization, and adherence to safety and quality standards. A High School Diploma with supervisory experience is required, with Associates/Bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and two (2) years supervisory experience in supervisory, warehouse, inventory control, and/or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience implementing training and measurement programs preferred.
• Six Sigma and/or lean certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates performing Inventory Control activities, including training new associates and overseeing attendance and performance management to foster a high-performing team environment.
• Lead planned cycle counts and associated reports.
• Resolve inventory integrity issues to ensure predictable and reliable signals within the manufacturing and supply chain functions.
• Understand proper operation of material handling equipment and safety procedures.
• Document common systematic issues and develop an improvement plan.
• Serve as a primary contact for internal and external inventory management audits.
• Accountable for Warehouse end to end process/system & continuous improvement.
• Ensure accurate work instructions and procurement to meet SOX and ISO requirements.
• Evaluate KPIs related to inventory management operations and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Support a safety culture and practices in the warehouse operation among associates.
