Job summary

Hot Topic in Riverside, CA is seeking an Inventory Support Supervisor to manage the Inventory Support department at our Riverside Distribution Center. You will oversee cycle counting, transfers, aging inventory, and the reconciliation of counts to ensure accuracy.

This role reports to the Operations Manager of Inventory and leads a team of 1 Team Lead and 5 associates, delivering daily tasks on schedule and maintaining safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required, college degree preferred
• At least 2 years’ experience in a fulfillment center or warehouse/distribution center supervising 20+ people
• Inventory Control experience a plus
• Experience working with various Warehouse Management Systems (e.g. Manhattan, Red Prairie, HighJump)
• Ability to lead and develop people in a team environment
• Solid knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook and a computerized warehouse management system
• Familiarity with LEAN production work methods
• Dedication to meeting internal and external customer requirements, responding promptly to requests
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Inventory Team of 1 Team Lead + 5 associates and daily operations
• Conduct training classes for associates
• Address inventory inquiries from internal/external partners
• Track aging inventory and ensure timely putaway or processing
• Monitor process accuracy and coach staff to meet goals
• Oversee cycle counts reconciliations and annual physical inventories
• Foster teamwork and open communication
• Enforce safety procedures and safe work practices
• Ensure daily tasks are completed on schedule
• Provide daily coaching and feedback to associates
• Make adjustments to meet deadlines
