Job summary

Ryder is hiring an Inventory Supervisor in Wilmer, TX to oversee inbound/outbound material, packaging supplies, and inventory accuracy. The role reports to the Senior Logistics Manager and leads cycle counts and related process improvements.

The ideal candidate will drive KPI performance, coordinate with floor staff, and support daily operations through data-driven decision making. Strong supervisory experience is required.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
• Two+ years in manufacturing/production/distribution inventory required.
• Two+ years supervisory experience required.
• Two+ years PC inventory and accounting skills required.
• Two+ years problem solving experience; Root Cause countermeasures preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills required.
• Lean principles/tools exposure: beginner preferred.
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) knowledge: intermediate preferred.
• OSHA knowledge: intermediate preferred.
• DOT and Hazmat knowledge may be required; intermediate preferred.
• APICS certification intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track daily facility KPI's and ensure goals are met.
• Develop and manage inventory control systems.
• Lead the cycle count program and related activities.
• Support Operations Supervisors with inventory issues.
• Facilitate the hold process for local site operations.
• Monitor inventory costs and report to the team.
• Lead shift communications and stand-up meetings to engage staff.
