Job summary

American Woodmark in Hamlet, NC is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk responsible for maintaining inventory integrity in assembly departments, counting and labeling putaway pallets, and coordinating with material handlers and production workers.

The role requires experience with Oracle/JDE/MRP, proficiency in Excel and Word, ability to operate a standup forklift, and willingness to work overtime. The candidate should be detail-oriented and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in inventory control in a mid-sized manufacturing environment.
• Experience with JDE, Oracle or MRP systems is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Identify parts using drawings and measurements.
• Utilize Oracle System.
• Operate a Standup forklift.
• Audit pallet quantities and part numbers for accuracy.
• Read drawings with engineering system.
• Print pallet labels using RFSmart scanners.
• Work with the rest of the inventory team to clear negatives, perform rack audits, and complete hot counts.
• Maintain value stream inventory per Work Orders and keep 5S in all areas.
