Job summary

Hampel Corporation in Germantown, WI is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our Distribution team. The role focuses on cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and ensuring data accuracy across locations.

You will work with ERP systems, assist multiple departments, and participate in kaizen projects while operating select material handling equipment. We value detail-orientation, teamwork, and a proactive approach to inventory control.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of shipping, receiving, or inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to be a strong team player.
• Strong computer skills and basic understanding of ERP and the production process.
• Prior inventory control and cycle counting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in shipping and receiving in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and positive attitude with ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Customer focus with aptitude for learning part numbers.

Responsibilities

• Perform random cycle counts of product on a daily basis based on ABC classification.
• Reconcile variances found during the cycle counts and make corrections.
• Compile inventory accuracy details based on cycle counting.
• Reconcile negative inventory issues and discrepancies.
• Provide feedback to functional groups on gaps to inventory control compliance for quick resolution and permanent corrective actions.
• Lead and participate in kaizen events for continuous improvement in inventory control and material transactions.
• Operate forklift and scissor lift during daily duties.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks as required.
• Correctly use inventory control system to move product between locations.
• Complete daily scan gun audits.
