Job summary

Tosoh SMD, Inc. in Grove City, OH is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist I to manage the inflow and outflow of material inventory. You will perform physical and system transactions to ensure inventory availability and accuracy, reporting to the Warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities include using ERP, conducting counts, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining inventory control metrics while adhering to safety standards and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Procurement, Inventory Control or Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Understanding of inventory control methods and techniques preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools, primarily Excel & Outlook.
• Obtaining forklift certification is required (Tosoh will supply training).
• Basic analytical and mathematical skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Follow process documentation to control inflow/outflow of material inventory.
• Utilize ERP system to align physical inventory with system data.
• Perform stocking, organizing and storage/put-away activities.
• Complete inventory counts and report discrepancies to Warehouse Manager.
• Assist in investigation of inventory discrepancies and root causes.
• Maintain inventory control metrics and assist with delivery discrepancies.
