Job summary

Generac is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist I/II to track inventory and stock changes in a distribution setting. The role ensures part quantities are accurate and raw goods are located correctly per the inventory system, with potential invoicing inspections and records maintenance.

Hours are 2:30pm-10:30pm, Monday through Friday. This on-site position supports continuous improvement within the warehouse and requires collaboration with management for improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months experience in manufacturing or comparable environments with inventory control.
• Proficient in SAP for counts and adjustments.
• Basic computer skills and ability to send emails to other plants.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• 6 months experience in manufacturing or comparable work environments where duties include inventory control.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Understands the cycle count methodology.
• Can perform counts and adjustments in SAP as needed.
• Has basic computer knowledge and can effectively send out emails to other plants.
• Ability to operate equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good problem solving/analyzing skills.
• Communicate effectively.

Level Of Independence

This position will report directly to a Production Supervisor, Materials Supervisor or Distribution Supervisor and has some degree of autonomy.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
