Job summary

Prime Controls is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain accurate inventory records and support daily warehouse operations in our Dallas, Texas area. The role involves cycle counts, receiving, kitting, and shipping coordination to ensure material availability and traceability across locations.

The successful candidate will be methodical, detail-oriented, and capable of investigating discrepancies to identify root causes.

Qualifications

• Maintain inventory accuracy by verifying on-hand quantities against system records daily.
• Perform scheduled and ad hoc cycle counts, record results, and investigate discrepancies.
• Confirm material is in its rack location and that quantities, lot numbers, and serial numbers match system and paperwork.
• Process inventory adjustments, receipts, transfers, and returns the same day they occur.
• Assist receiving, put-away, kitting, and shipping during high-volume periods.
• Keep count sheets, adjustment records, and audit documentation complete and traceable.
• Follow all inventory control procedures and PPE requirements.
• Proven experience in warehouse, inventory control, or a similar role in a warehouse, distribution, construction, or industrial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read and match part numbers, lot numbers, and serial numbers against system records.
• Experience with inventory systems and Microsoft Excel sufficient to process transactions and reconcile results.
• Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Willingness to investigate and flag discrepancies rather than pass them downstream.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand and walk for the full shift.

Responsibilities

• Keep warehouse inventory accuracy in agreement with system records.
• Support inventory transactions, cycle counts, and audits.
• Ensure proper rack locations and matching lot/serial numbers.
• Process adjustments, receipts, transfers, and returns on the same day.
• Assist other teams during peak periods to maintain smooth material flow.
• Maintain audit documentation and count sheets for traceability.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
