Job summary

Luna Innovations designs and manufactures fiber optic sensing and test and measurement products. The Inventory Control Specialist in Blacksburg, VA will own the accuracy of on-hand inventory, drive cycle counts, and partner with Purchasing, Production Planning, and Quality to improve processes.

You will manage lot/serial tracking, lead periodic inventory counts, and support audits while ensuring inventory accuracy and traceability across the site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in inventory control, materials management, or similar role.
• Experience with cycle counting and ERP inventory transactions.
• AS or BS degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and ad hoc cycle counts and manage count strategy.
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies by root-cause analysis and investigate issues.
• Process ERP transactions for receipts, transfers, adjustments, and returns to keep real-time accuracy.
