Job summary

Luna Innovations is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to own inventory accuracy at our Blacksburg, VA site. You will lead cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and process ERP transactions to keep on-hand, on-hold, and valuation data current.

You will collaborate with Purchasing, Production Planning, and Quality to drive improvements and ensure traceability. Experience in cycle counting, ERP inventory transactions, and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is

Qualifications

2+ years in inventory control, materials management, or a related manufacturing support role; hands-on experience with cycle counting and ERP inventory transactions.
Attention to detail and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office and an ERP or inventory management system is a plus.

Responsibilities

Performing scheduled and ad hoc cycle counts and owning the cycle count calendar.
Reconciling inventory discrepancies and investigating root causes.
Executing ERP transactions for receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and returns.
Maintaining min/max and reorder point settings and monitoring forecasted supply.
Coordinating periodic full physical inventory counts and variance reporting.
Managing lot, serial, and expiration tracking for traceability.
Leading process improvements across the stockroom and warehouse.
