Job summary

Echo Electric, a brand under Sonepar, is hiring an Inventory Control Coordinator in Missouri. You will support inventory accuracy, perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, coordinate returns, and assist with warehouse and branch operations. Shift is 7AM-4PM, M-F, reporting to the Operations Manager.

You will use the inventory system, research orders, and manage vendor returns while maintaining high data accuracy and strong customer service across branches.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years inventory-control experience.
• Ability to work in a warehouse and office setting.
• High ethical standards in professional conduct and workplace interactions.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities at once.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data entry and 10-key pad use.
• Proficiency with general computer applications including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Research inventory, orders, product purchasing and sales history using the company system.
• Investigate inventory variances and document discrepancies.
• Maintain defective-item records and arrange returns for exchange or credit.
• Log and group specials by vendor and identify non-returnable items.
• Review slow-moving vendor inventory for return, exchange, or credit opportunities.
• Update product bin locations and stock warehouse products.
• Modify the inventory system with correct modification reason codes.
• Serve as the contact for branch stock-check inquiries.
• Perform cycle inventories for vendors identified by management.
• Monitor stock shortages and communicate with Corporate Purchasing.
