Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply in Laurel, MD is seeking an Inventory Representative to ensure inventory accuracy across cycle counts, inbound receipts, and put-away activities. You will collaborate with receiving, picking, and counter staff to keep inventory aligned with Eclipse records and support a fast, same-day ship process.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–3 years in inventory control or warehouse operations, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years in inventory control or warehouse operations.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems; Eclipse a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand on feet for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled cycle counts accurately and on time; investigate discrepancies to identify root causes.
• Verify inbound receipts against purchase orders for quantity and item accuracy; stage and put away correctly.
• Identify damaged or mislabelled products and escalate as needed.
• Coordinate with Receiving, Picking, and Counter staff to prevent backlogs during peak periods.
• Maintain accurate Eclipse records for adjustments, transfers, and discrepancies; audit-ready.
