Job summary

Gensco, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Inventory Control Specialist at our Seattle, Washington branch. This role involves performing inventory management duties, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining a clean, safe warehouse environment.

You will assist in training teammates, operate a range of warehouse equipment, and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office. A High School Diploma or GED and reliable attendance are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights up to 30 feet.
• Experience with warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, ladders, etc.).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong attendance and ability to move about a large facility for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory management duties in a safe, friendly manner.

Job Description

Gensco has an immediate opening for an Inventory Control Specialist at our branch in Seattle, Washington!

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform assigned inventory management duties in a safe, friendly manner
• Responsible for identifying and correcting inventory discrepancies
• Responsible for keeping the warehouse and equipment safe and clean
• Maintain a positive, helpful attitude toward fellow Team Members and Customers
• Assist in maintaining a clean, neat, and organized warehouse and showroom
• Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned
• Assist with training Team Members when necessary

Skills and Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years or older
• Regularly and repetitively lift 50 pounds and frequently lift 75 pounds, using proper lifting
• Ability to frequently work at heights up to 30 feet
• Able to use all types of warehouse equipment including, but not limited to, hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, ladders, order pickers, bar code readers, etc.
• Able to use an electronic calculator, computer, and other business equipment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Regular, consistent attendance for scheduled shifts
• Able to move freely about the facility, climb stairs, stoop, bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods of time up to and over 8 hours a day
• Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills
